    I could probably get one from a local pull a part yard. I'm not sure how much they'd want or what shipping would end up being. I could check if you're desperate. It's probably not going to be especially cheap after shipping though.

    The car junkyard here is outragously expensive... they wanted 100 bucks for a trunk lid with no lights. If someone can get the ball joint assy cheap (one that doesn't SQUEAK) it would be nice. I don't know how much they weigh, but if shipping is too much then forget it.

    Let's put it this way... my mechanic wants over $200.00 for the part new... and I am broke as hell.

    Give a poor guy a break . I'm sick of the endless squeaking and groaning of the ball joint!

    Look on ebay, you should be able to get a NEW one (generic non-honda, does the job) for less than $35. My u pull it yard has like 5 of our cars and parts are cheap, i think for a rear deck lid with no lights its like $29... i think

    If your getting sqeaking its probably th rubber bushing and not the ball joint.


    It probably still needs to be replaced cause the rubber is worn out. You might want to try greasing it up until you get a new one. That might stop the sqeaking.

    Yeah ghetto, I gotta agree with Epicenter on that one.

    I've been seeing them pop up on eBay (the whole assembly; b/j and crtl arm) a lot lately. I've seen them at a "Buy It Now" for only 19.99. Good luck bro!

    My mechanic said it was the ball joint and it was "dry". I've tried greasing it up, but when it dries out it just gets worse. I've never seen them on eBay before, ever. If you guys see it please let me know! I am desperate for this to get fixed.

    well i have some but the boots are all cracked from the car sitting so long.
    one of my 88 lx's is up for parts. good engine and transmission. pretty much everything is there. the fenders and hood are bad but other than that it's pretty good.

    RIP my beutiful 5g coupe. May the villans rot in hell!
