How do I remove the bumper strips on the side of the car to paint under them? I got a new door yesterday and changed it out with my old door that was smashed in. Now I need to remove the side strip and paint the door as it does not match the car.

They have clips, they break easy and its a pain in the butt to take out.
You have to take off the interior door panel, pell down the plastic liner, stick your hand in the door with plyers to pinch the clip from inside and pull the strip off from the outside.
Cannot get the clips from the inside. The clips are behind the side impact beam.
I got the strips off tonight. I pried them back and stuck a small screwdriver in to release the clips. So I got them off the old doors. Now I gotta get them off the doors on the car.
