I have a loose wire too, but not one like yours. Mine's somewhere around the tranny, but I can't seem to trace where it should be connected to. Also, the loose wire has no effect on the car.

That is a radio condenser. It's designed to remove engine noise in your radio (If ya have it, ya know what it is) There's a wire coming from the distributor that should connect to it, just follow the + and - wires from the distributor to the coil and you should find it.

i found a wire like that on my fiesta and i finally figured out it was the reverse sensor wire that would light up the rear tail lights when i put it in reverse.........could be something similar.

There are two plugs connecting to the ignition coil besides the coil wire itself. The radio condenser has a connection on each of the harnesses going to it. One heads to the distributor, the other heads in the direction of the battery. From the pictures, you are missing the one coming from the distributor.

The radio condensor is also used to surpress stray ignition noise from screwing up the computer and making it run funny or not at all (its possible the engine wont run if that is not connected or if its bad)

Did all the models of this accord come with the radio condensor? because i remember at one point a few years ago we had a friend change the distributor with one from the junk yard. Im thinking he may of had gotten one from a diffrent model and it might have not came with a radio condesor, because i cant find anywheir on the distributor wheir it might have been connected to at one time!

Yep that's supposed to be hooked up to your distributor. There should be another wire coming out of the distributor that plugs directly into that wire harness hanging loose.

My reverse lights are fine. It's funny cuz I've looked from the top and underneath the car and still can't trace it. I guess I'll have to look at other LX-i's for the answer.
