    Runnin ruff

Ok I have an 88 accord dx (carbed motor). It runs great most the time but sometimes when damp or if I am driving for a while it will loose all pep and run bad. If I put something in the carb to keep it open it will run ok but not great. What do you guys think it is?

What do you mean by: "putting something in the carb to keep it open"?

well obviously your choke is the problem, it should open within like 5 minutes of starting up.
after the engine is warmed up try this:

See the line that snakes from the bottom of the pic all the way to the top? it plugs into the funnel shaped part on the passenger side of the carb (2 lines going to it). (I think yours should be labeled #19 not #18 as in the pic, I have a huge mixmatch of hoses on mine). Pull it off and tell me if you can feel suction on it while the motor is on. If not your thermovalve is probably stuck shut.
