if we do it in the afternoon (after 5 or 6) i'd be able to come.

Castle Rock isn't a bad idea. Does everyone know where Daniel's Park is? I think they have some bbq pits and whatnot. Of course, we'd have to drive on a dirt road to get there, but that's pretty much every park in colorado...

    Or Chatfield Resevior.

Or... halxi, do you know of some good parks in Denver?

Let's get a list of people who are serious about coming this Saturday (21st), and what they're bringing.
I can bring charcoals, lighter fluid, and sodas.

My schedule for work was just posted yesterday, and my boss screwed me out of one of my days off this week, which just so happend to be saturday. The only way i would be able to make it is if it was after 9pm, which would be kind of shitty.

I MIGHT be able to trade someone hours if they are up for it, but if not, sunday after 5pm would work for me. Damn work

There are quite a few nice parks in and around the denver area, one of the better parks is Washington park, but its been upwards of 5 years since ive been there and i dont know/remember if they have bbq pits or anything like that.

Chatfield would probably be a good meeting place, definatly would be easy to find/direct people to if they dont know where its at or how to get there. Lets shoot for that sometime in the near future, i have to run over to where i work to get a few things so ill talk to my supervisor while im there and see if theres anyway i can get saturday off.

    Ill keep you posted.

EDIT: Well, Friday (the 20th) i work from 8am-1pm, any chance of a meet somewhere friday afternoon/night? I dont have to be at work until noon saturday, how about all you other guys here in co?

I would be able to bring chips, hamburger/hot dog buns, and stuff like mustard, ketchup, etc. etc.

    friday works great for me!

we could meet at 5 and get cookin' then. the sun sets at around 7:15 or so, so we could get some sweet sunset-lit photos, etc.

    How's that sound for everyone?

    Ok, so far we have:

me - charcoal, lightfluid, cups, napkins, plates, matches
halxi - chips, hamburger/hot dog buns, and stuff like mustard, ketchup, (tomatos, lettuce?)
    PikesPeak3G - sodas
my friend Dan - hamburgers, hot dogs

And we've agreed on Friday, 5pm, Chatfield Resevior.

Anyone know of any good places to set up a bbq? I'm not very familiar with it.

Also, it costs a few bucks to enter the park, I believe, so have about $10 cash on you when you enter. I think it's only $3, but you never know.

-->> If anyone else would like to join, just post it here, and post what you'd like to bring along, if you can. Either add something to the list, or take a load off of someone else.

We should post pics of our cars here so we can recognize each other when we get there.

    I know it's hard to see, but it's just a mostly-stock white 91 prelude Si 4WS.
My friend will be driving the 3G accord.

    Directions to Chatfield

    (lower part of page)
    http://parks.state.co.us/images/cont...%204-05695.pdf
    (map of lake area)
So if someone could pick out a place, that'd be great. Preferably somewhere easy to get to.

chatfield is easy to find, the most direct (but longest) is i25 to 470 west, easy to see and stuff.

I should be able to make the 3ish time, im going to hamden to stop at an audio shop that sells diamond subs and stuff anyway, so i shouldnt be there too much later then 3:30.

Also, yes, i will bring tamato, onion, all... i want to say attributes(?) for bbq stuff. It wont be pre-sliced but whatever, we can cross that bridge when we get there :P

maroon 3g, clearcoat problems, LX-i, 2door... youll hear me comming :P ill most likely have the techno cranked :P

    bump

since it seems nobody is around tonight, 2 days before the meet.

I dont have an exact address or some shit like that for chatfield, but id imagine mapquest or the yahoo thing would be able to give you directions if you just typed in "chatfield resivor" or whatever

what entrance are we going to meet at? i think there is more then one for the park, should we meet at the eastern-most entrance? or what?

On the parks web site theres a map. There an entrance off of co470 that has the actual entrance station. Its really close to a parking lot with Concessions ,phones and the first aid station. It seems to be the only first aid station on the map. It might be a good first stop or referance point? I got MountainDew, Pepsi, Coke,Sunkist, and some water.

whoa, hold on a second, i meant FIVE (5) pm... oops. what the heck was i thinking?!

ok, so i guess i'll see you all there.

oh, by the way, i won't be driving my prelude... i left the exhaust off, and i'm still waiting for the welders to put together the new exhaust...
i'll be riding with my friend in his gold accord. has a pacesetter cat-back, and a black wing; steel wheels and all sorts of touch up paint everywhere.
    he's one of those do-it-wrong-yourselfer's.

one last thing, if i'm not there, it's because my friend's car broke down again (which is likely...). If i don't show up on time, one of you can call me at 719 648 7264.
