Has anyone ever had a problem with there oil pan gasket leaking?
Also what are the chances of the hose that hooks to the oil pan leaking?
The reason I ask is becuase me engine leaks oil from that area.

I had mine changed a little over a year ago. I think it's somewhat of a common problem.

You know that might be what's wrong with mine. Mine always looks like it's dripping from the drain plug (very slow dripping, like one or two drops every few days) But I put gasket maker to seal up the drain plug the last time I changed the oil and it still looks like its leaking.
Yeah, mine drips off of the drain plug, but I can't figure where it originates, I'm almost betting it's the gasket on yours and mine.
Sure it's not the drain plug? Or is it running down the side of the pan?

I'm pretty sure it's not the drain plug. It leaks alot.
I had to have both fixed when i got my oil leaks fixed. Also the oil filter housing gasket and then later did the valve cover gasket on my own. Goooooo used cars!

Well I got a self tapping drain plug so I don't think its it.
How hard is it to change the oil filter housing gasket?
i have the same problem bitesize my oil plug gasket is kaputz
its not how fast you go, its how fast you get going.
I recently treated myself and paid to have the oil pan and oil filter mounting plate gaskets changed. If it only started leaking after 200,000 miles I would hardly call that a "common problem." The garage floor has been nice and dry ever since.
How much did that cost you?

$185 total. I provided them with my own oil and filter so I would assume it would be a few more bucks if you didn't do that.
It was worth it to me. It is tough, though, as I have done everything else. This particular shop really respected the car and even remarked on how clean it was so the service was good@
I changed my rack and pinion by myself, so it couldn't be anywhere near as hard.
Probably not. The exhaust head pipe bolts on mine were frozen and I figured if I broke them it would be a lot of time consuming work (I do not own a tap and die set).
Every once in a while I like to take advantage of the fact that I do make decent money and that the car rarely costs me anything to own.
