Go to your own garage, hell if you don't have one do it in the sunlight and get a tan.

    Do it yourself................

Midas will charge you over $300-$400 I'm sure. It's not that hard to do either. I did it to my car by myself, with no help from my friends, because they're lazy. It only took me about 2.5 hours and that was taking my time. Just go to autozone and they'll let you borrow their spring compressor. Plus doing it yourself is a good way to learn how things work with your car.

Forgot to mention...I'm sure other 3geez live near you that would be happy to drive 20-30 minutes to help you out.

You can have a shop do it, but they're gonna charge quite a bit. It's not that hard, man. You can do it. Just go rent a spring compressor (it'll make the job much easier). It took me roughly 5 hours to lower my car all by myself without the proper tools (I did have a spring compressor though otherwise I'd be looking at 7-9 hours). Have fun and good luck.

I guess having you're car lowered is somewhat performance. Being lower to ground means less wind resistance which= speed=performance.

This thread doesn't belong in performance, but nobody's perfect we all make simple mistakes. But hopefully not over and over.

If it's a question about wheels/tires/suspension, it should go to that section, that's why it exist's. If a question is in fact better off elsewhere I will move it.

my local shop charges $100 i think to install springs... thats not tooo bad. considering how long it took me to do mine the first time, i would almost consider doing this.

but i have done it so many times now that i have done it in the dark at my apt complex with amber holding a flashlight... hehehe

i would say give it a shot yourself!

We should just get rid of the how to! It's just a waiste of space most of the time.

    No problem.

Hey someone that's done it before really should take the free dinner offer and help the guy out. The how to does a good job of showing you, but company is always nice.

I agree with him. Suspension is a tricky monster. If done wrong it can be dangerous.

Where at in seattle? I live across the bay from you. I live in Suquamish which is just south-east of Paulsbo. Shoot you could even bring it over to my place if you want. (if you can put up with the rugrats) I have Next weekend free (26-29 Jul) Would have to get a spring compressor from the local Shucks...I have the floor jack and jack stands.
