Also the Efficency of the subs, how well it can use its given power, for Instance, a HEAVY constructed sub is going to need more power to get that Sub to move, a Lighter sub can use LESS power to move. Its a game between Ridgity and Lightness, thus the whole Efficency. I herd once JL's where so good cause they where so Efficent.

Subs: One Rockford Fosgate XLC & one Nakamitchi sub both 10inch in a sealed box but I took em out and now put in 2 10inch Pioneer IMPP subs in a bandpass box which gives it a sh!t load more of bass then in a sealed box... but yeah box design does matter in SQ as in bass n sh!t.... but the Bass is very loud on my system... hell I'm already a lil deff on my right ear cuz of it, oh well right, were all probaby gonna get deff n e ways someday right? LOL Well thats all I have now.. Although I do plan on getting a Rockford Fosgate capacitor soon and the new 18inch Solorbaric square sub soon so that will be loud as hell...probably gonna need some bulletproof windows now huh..lol

I used a program to design my box. It is designed for an 12-inch MB Quart PWD304, and is tuned at 60 Hrz. The sub weighs 35 pounds. It is dual voice coil. RMS is 700 watts. Peak is 1,500. I run it at about 750. I could do more but I dont want to push it. And whoever said that JL's are good subs?! No offense, but they dont know what they are talking about. Those subs suck monkey balls. I have two 12 inch JL W3's sitting in my basement trying to sell but I would feel guilty selling them for more than 50 bucks a pop. The subs only handle peak power of 250 watts! RMS is around 150! My 6x9s handle more than that. I am sorry, but the cream of the crop is either MA Audio, or MB Quart for speakers and subs. Of course some of those prototype models might be better, but I am talking about stuff that people can buy without getting hooked up with prototype stuff. I would say that how much I have spent on my system, it sounds hella good! Good luck to all with their systems. That was my little rant, sorry if I offended anyone.
Thinking about getting a new 3g...

Ummm... bandpasses have two tuning frequencys... the lower and upper cut-offs. That's why they're called bandpass...

What year are those W3's? I'll take 'em off your hands for $115 shipped for both, if both are in good working order.

JL's whole line is good. From the W0's to the W8.... (just kidding, there's no W8, W7's the top). The only thing is that they're overpriced. JL's whole sub line is geared towards SQ, though... so without some extra time spent on box design, you're not going to get tremendous output (except for W6v2's and W7's). W7's are at the very top for both SPL and SQ out of almost any sub out there... there are a few subs up there, and it mainly comes down to preferences, but the W7's are amazing woofers.

i may not seem to have too much, but i kow i have it right, as of this moment, i have two brand-new rf punch he 15's, and two 2000-model rf punch xlc 12's, and im runnin em on a rf punch 500a2 that pushes 500 wattts rms at 4 ohms, and im soon ti install my rf punch 250.2 on all of my highs, because my pioneer premier deh-p430 is about to blow my 6 1/2's......so im gonna put a cpl of rfx component systems in my doors and deck for that 250 to push.

    2 he 15's
    2 xlc 12's
    1 punch 500a2
    1 punch 250.2
pioneer premier deh-p430 (with 3 sets of outputs on RCA...fr/re/sub
1 pioneer premier 12 disc changer with text
4 awg power wire (17 ft)
1 RF hi-amp fuse holder (inline)
2 RF SE fuse holders (inline)

(the 4 awg wire goes back to my trunk, but it wont fit in the punch 500's power block, only 8 awg will, so i put an rf fuse holder on my power and ground 4 awg wires, and came out of the other end of the holders with 8 awg, and then ran that to my amp...ill get pics soon

2 rockford fosgate punch xlc 12's 4 sale....$175 in a box.....excellent condition, i bought them used from a guy who bought them new, and all he had on them was a boss 400...it was smaller than my punch 250...but anyway, i had them in my car hooked up in stereo to my 500, but it was turned way down, id really hate to get rid of em, but they wont fit in my trunk along with the he 15's, and still have enough space for appropriate box size, but im goin with 15's and thats it, (well, evything in my other post except fot the 12's)

    email me for pics

15's. I wish I had 15's but I think 4 15's is Over kill, Im happy with my 4 12's. 12's have a good Over all sound, though 15's get the low BALLZ Shattering Bass.

the jlw7 will blow everything away with a magnet that weighs around 60 pounds. They are expensive at about 900 dollars. You do definitly get what you pay for.

i cant' get my pics uploaded. but it's a simple idea. just make the board that mounts the speakers like 2 inches deep into the box and then just face the box down.
