Your cam gear probably got fucked up. Did you set your timing just right, so your valves were'nt mucked up? Perhaps you Header gasket blew too Sorry to hear that.

Gaskets are NOT good forever. Besides everyone who has put on an Aftermarket header has gone through gaskets like crazy, but if your engine is acting up, i'd say it's your timing, not the gasket.

I have never needed to put a header gasket on just the exhaust pipe. I would say that the valves were adjusted wrong or the timing wasn't good with the valves. I hope everything works out for you.

Was it running fine until right before it started having problems?

I dont think that the cam would cause the engine to overheat....sounds like maybe something else is funny.....maybe the computer didnt adjust for the new cam. You could try disconnecting the battery and press on the brake for a few seconds to get the juice out of the computer then restart it and let it idle for a couple minutes (if it can) and see if the computer adjusts itself. Thats all i have for ideas. Maybe your thermostat is bad???? thats a strange problem.

Did you let the belt slip off the cam gear also you may want to check your head gasket.

It means you have some SERIOUS problems bro. Did it start knocking when it was stalling? what does the metal in the oil feel/look like?

I seriously hope that delta didn't screw up your cam sometimes if they are not ground right the rockwell hardness of the lobes can mess up and the lobes will shread as they turn shooting metal into the engine and causing the valves to not work correctly. I would dissasemble the head right away and check your cam lobes.
