Exclamation Finally got Pix of my car! Lots o' pix. Sorry ppl with slow connection

Finally got pix of my car. As you can see the car has some minor body damage but no rust except near where the battery is located. Probaly due to battery acid. Ive done some minor interior mods and painting but nothing big yet. Just waiting for the cash.

Heres where a dumb b**** backed into my car in a parking lot. Nothing major but still irritating as hell.

And finally a pic of the car that i pull parts from for free. Gotta love that! :super: Its a 88 LX-i with full options.

I actually like the body of the white car better then mine. Compare the two.

Oh yea. And heres the shot of my crappy engine. List of problems grows by the day. The main one is the number one cylinder has no compression.

Hey Osiris what kind of paint did you use to paint the door handles inside the car? That looked pretty good. Did it scratch or chip? Let me know b/c I want to paint more of my interior really bad b/c the SEM paint I used scratches really easy and I preped it really well and painted it even better.

I used i believe its called dura-color or something close to that from Wal-Mart. It only chipped in one place on the dash cuz i coated it real thick and was in a rush to put it back on and didnt let it dry long enough (semi dry). I also used the primer from the same brand. Worked out pretty good.

EDIT: Its dupli-color. I just checked.

How did you prep the dash? I have been wanting to do the interior but I didn't really want to do it after I painted my sei console.

that trim does look good. i agree about the body thing, i like the look of the coupes much more than the sedans. you've got that same dent in the hood that i have. there are a couple people on here with the same one, can't push it out either with the bracing underneath. looking good, little more body work and it'll be sweet, paint those tails that would look tight.

    To prep it I:
    1. sanded real good
    2. cleaned with hot water and soap
    3. let dry
    4. primered it up with about 2-3 coats
    5. painted with 2-3 coats
    6. let dry for about a 24 hours (48 hours is better tho)

Texas sun is more than some shit. The day i took those pix it was about 102 degrees.

NOTE: Dont forget tho, that the interior painting is no where close to finished. I ran out of paint :lol and havent gone to get anymore yet. Plus like i said, its hot as holy hell out here.

The thing about that white car is that it was hit slightly in the back and hit at low speed on the driver side front bumper. The sunroof has some horrible glue looking stuff plastered all around the top where the i guess the trim was. The motor is dead. Dont know exactly whats wrong with it but i know it doesnt run. The clear turns signals dont fit my car. Im also gonna paint the buckets in the door when i get an electric sander because the carpet glue is hard to get off.

Oh yea. Notice the LX-i center console. Much better than the LX one that was in there originally.

The side of the car your looking at is the good side. Its the other side that was hit in the rear and front. Actually pretty minor but must be some undercarriage or unseen damage in the car that cant be seen because they totalled it out. Thanx for the offer for the tape, but im going to paint that too. Like i said, im FAR from done on working on my car.

You cant see from the pic real good but the white car has Flowmasters. The mechanics house i was at took that car and him and his buddies where "bored" so put it on.:lol

Because their are many "minor" pings everywhere. Im guessing at one time it had gotten hail damage. Instead of pulling the 4 doors and wondering if the window motors will work and trying to get my door trim on them (what bitch to do!). Im probaly gonna have a body shop pull them when it gets painted.

To tell you the truth tho. That never crossed my mind. Might look into it. The fender wont work tho cuz it was hit in the drivers side bumper/fender and if i change one i think i have to change them both because of the corner lenses. Some one correct me if im wrong tho.

Like i said. Im not sure that they are interchangeable. At least not at this moment im not. If so what about the corner turn signals. If the fenders are swappable then so should the turn signals which makes me question why ppl havent done it. Need info. on that plz.
