    no dash lights!!!

Hey guys, I checked both fuses and i still have no dashlights. i'm getting sick of putting my dome light on every few miles to check my speed. Could this be the relay for the dimmer switch?

Soon to add underbody red neon and possibly EFI???????

weren't you saying that your running lights were out also? If it's just the dash lights it may be worth taking off the cluster cover and making sure that the harnesses back there have not come loose.

i think someone else had the same problem before and their license plate lights wont work too. IT was a short or a bad relay i dont know. i dont know where the dimmer relay is under the steering column on the removable cover. I guess

    same shit

I know what it feels like. Check under your dash. The fuse is either #14, or 15. Check that first.

    Good luck!!

I know this is the dumb thing to ask, but is the brightness turned all the way up? Also that switch could be bad.
You may think that my question is dumb, but I have a friend who actually didn't check that. He drives a '72 240Z and some kid was checking it out, playing with all the buttons. He drives it later on that night and notices he doesn't have any dash lights. So while he's driving he starts banging on the dashboard, and fiddling around underneath it trying to find out if anything is loose. He tells me his dilemma and I ask him "Did you check the switch?" He pauses, turns around, and walks back to his car. It was very funny at the time.

its not a relay as a whole. but it does have an IC (integrated circuit) with transistors and caps. its not a basic on/off relay.
