'89 LX-i sedan sale or parts

Hey guys,

I'm selling the '89 LX-i. I'd like to sell it all, but I will part it out if nobody wants it all.

It hit a rock (basketball size) in road and has a bent frame, broken motor mount, creased 6 month old gas tank.

Has new radiator, stock exhaust with stickers still on it. I put the bumpers on the '87 that I sold, but the '87's bumpers are with this one now.

Anyhow, any interest...lemme know. email to [email protected] will work best. I'm in VT. The car still drives so it could be driven out of here. I'd even deliver it for a few bucks if paid in advance.

The person who bought the '87 would like the wheels (stock) so I'd like to hang onto them but will sell too if needed.

. 89LXI guy,..the trunk itself is rusted where the lights mount. The trunk mounted housings themselves are good tho I think. Hell, yer in OK. Why don't ya buy the whole thing. I can have it delivered to OK. Not sure how much, but my bro-in-law runs truck parts back and forth from just east of Tulsa. You could drive it from there if ya had wheels or bought mine.

2. markmdz89hatch: I guess I need to make a list so I can save pieces for 1st come/1st to get kinda thing. You got 'em if lxiguy doesn't just buy the whole car. It does purr like a kitten....

3. buish: you got the sway bars...if I can figure out where they are and how to get em off....that's if I end of chopping it up.

4. buzzbomber88lx: sure, I'll tell you guys. After all, this is the best site on the web! Reserve is $200. Good tranny, motor just needs valve cover gasket. And there is the issue of the broken motor mount, which we fixed, and replaced timing belt which got worn by the broken mount, before we realized the frame was toast.

Also, the rock cleaned out the power steering cooler line that runs in front of the radiator and back. I'd drive this sucker 200 miles easy tho.

there is FAQ on sway bar install. just no pics, since i think the host died or something. just reverse engineer the instructions. that's only if end up parting it.

Hell, the brake shoes I'm selling are going for more than this whole stinkin car!! Go figure on that one?! (Must be the shipping, gotta be somebody in New England could use it tho....)

89LXIGUY: He says $350 to get it to Grand Lake, OK. Sounds like a deal killer to me...but there ya have it.

Also, I gotta figure out what I can do with what's left over if I do start stripping it, before I start. Don't know if a junk yard will take it once all the good stuff is gone.

Ok...auctions over. So I have it at my bro-in-laws shop ready to take the air wrenches to. Guess I'll go look at FAQ's and see easiest way to get the motor out so I can start raping the poor baby for pieces.

I'll get to you guys asked for pieces soon. I'm real busy next couple days but will be deconstructing it by the weekend.

Anything to do with steering will come out last. Interior parts can go now. Sun roof after they're gone.

I'll take the sway bars and all the hardware if no one else wants it. I will also take the sidemarker lights if in good condition. Does it have rear mudflaps? Any mods done to it?

do you have the clips to hold the screws also? I have some rear mudflaps but I need the clips. But I don't mind buying another set to get what I need to put them on. Are the brand new?

Hey Mike, buish already asked for the sway bars. If he decides he doesn't want them you're next in line. Also, somebody up above asked for the corner lights. If that's what ya mean by sidemarker lights yer too late on them too.

Mud flaps got put on the '87 that I sold...(almost, until kid totaled Subie, so now I still have it, but that's another story...)

Not a mod done to the '89. The negative mod would have been putting it's bumpers on the '87!

Like I said, I won't be tearing it apart until later in week. I'll get in touch with everybody then.
