help i need to know if this swap will work

I have an 89Lxi sedan automatic....i might buy an 89 5spd coupe for a couple hundred bux.....would it be possible to swap my engine out and stick it in the coupe and leave the 5spd tranny on there...depending on how much work it needs i may just sell my sedan and overhaul that engine with the money...i need to weigh my options...course if i take my engine out ima replace as many gaskets as i can....also if the coupe is carbed can i swap an efi engine in it...mine efi i dunno about the coupe its either an 88 or an 89..help

well if coupe is carbed than you can swap it and have it carbed.
if you want EFi, you will have to rip 2 cars apart and put one together.

thats not really true.. since you have EFI already, you would just have to put the intake and all the engine parts onto the new engine, but... carbs have 98 HP and you have 120...
