    Question What Model Motor is THIS?

    Sup Crew. yeah i was fucking around with my car and i wanted to see what kind of motor i had. will i look on the heads and i see "BT". I dont know what that shit is . but just wanted to ask u guys if u all have that in any of yours guys motor. or if u know what it is tell me. Because i dont know. thanks

    the engine code stamped on the block, next to the trans. Look down straigh from distributor and you should see it, unless it is covered in 3" of oil and dirt.
    it should be A20A3 engine.

    A3 in a 86? i thot that was in ther 88-89 LXi's??
    isnt his a BT?

    since you have an 86 LXi, the code stamped on your block should read "BT"

    actually, the model #'s A20A1 and A20A3 started in 1987. Honda revamped it's engine numbers in '87.

    and its a 2.0 or a 1.6. when i bought the car the old owner told me that it was a 1.6 but i wasnt sure

    It's 2.0, 110hp @ 5500rpm and 114 ft/lbs or torque @4500 rpm.

    My BT has 375 000 kms on it and still runs great.
    Perfection is simply a matter of replacing parts.
