looking for used suspension if possible

someone tell me if this is a bad idea, but i'm looking for a used aftermarket suspension for my 88 lx. the springs on it are actually broken and rotting away, and the shocks are bad so i figured i should just bye something to lower it a bit. i don't want something too low or too stiff, just something to lower the car while replacing the broken stuff. my other car is lowered 2.25 inches and i like it so i'm looking for something like that.
one of my 88 lx's is up for parts. good engine and transmission. pretty much everything is there. the fenders and hood are bad but other than that it's pretty good.

RIP my beutiful 5g coupe. May the villans rot in hell!

not really. i bought new rims for my other car (one of them is bent among other broken stuff due to my cousin falling asleep at the wheel) and put the old ones on the 3g. so it would look dumb if it was that high.

You could cut one or two coils off of your stock springs for the meanwhile, until you can save for a lower kit. I don't really recommend it, but it is a thought. But if your shocks/struts are bad, don't do it.

my shocks are bad as well as the springs themselves. i already cut some but i'd like to do it the right way this time. and the stock springs on my parts car are actually cracked in two pieces

yeah cutting the springs works pretty good if you get new struts but otherwise it blows them out and you scrape everywhere and sometimes breaks coils.
