i want to tint my back tail lights

i know there is a spray u can do it with but is it a mess. what i mean is does it tend to run and what is it called?

i have no idea what its called but no paint will drip if you spray very lightly. the spray is probably whats in ur signature "smoke"

It's called VHT Niteshades, you can get it from http://www.summitracing.com/ I believe. It doesn't run, just don't cake it on there. Do it in 5 or 6 very light coats and it will be very even. Looks identical to taillight covers to me.

Yah thats what it is called. I tinted just the yellow on the blinkers with it in the back, and I tinted the corner lenses also. Do a search for VHT Nightshades and you will find more info on it.

Depending on what state you live in.... I know if it's too dark then yeah... but if it's lightly tinted then you should be ok... I dunno the best thing to do 1st is to check with your local law enforcment and ask them... Lataz

hey man, hb_racer stopped by my apt yesterday, after having sprayed his tails with the VHT nightshades, corners, and bumper lenses, and it looks AWESOME! the lights still shine thru really bright, i was very impressed with how good it looked.

the secret is to paint it when the weather is really hot out! it sticks like you wont believe, and doesnt run at all. (assuming you know how to spray paint hehe) he bought the shit at GI JOES, and it costs like $8 per can. i plan on buying some soon, and i will prolly attack my car this weekend sometime. maybe friday or sunday. when i do it i will take pics of the whole process and if i am motivated i will write a how-to!

Thats totally cool. But I want to go all red soooo bad. We just painted the tails on my friends 4th gen accord all red, and it looks awesome!. We found "stained glass" paint, and it worked like a charm.
