Small air filter on PCV Valve?

I saw that (sorry I forgot your name) the dude with the civic carb w/ cold air intake on his 3G had a small air filter on his PCV valve line. What does that do and what are they called?

yah its an 'upgrade' but dont expect a major power increase or anything. It will however make your system run more efficiently. If i were to bother with it, It would be just for looks. You can get the neat little anodized red ones, i think thats pretty slick

Yeah, I think it looks pretty cool. And that's all I would want it for. I was thinking about trying to pick up some Bosch 09392's today, Red Plug wires, but I can't get anyone here to talk about them.

it doesnt do anything really, except prevent excess blowby to be put back into your intake tubing. the result is cleaner, but u have to put up with oil and shit coming out of your breather filter. just ask alex's dad! the "cool cool" way to do it is to use an oil catch can. they are like $60 on ebay. i am looking into one since it will function well and be perfectly self contained and clean
