    automatic shift lever

    hello everyone
    I have a small problem when i am in park the car acte like its was in reverse, reverse like neutral , neutral like d4...
    Does my shift cable is broken or only misalignement???
    Do you know a way to adjust this cable on shift lever??

    Strange, your going to have to take the center cover out and report what you see out of the ordinary.

    thanks for the reply !
    I already take out the center cover and nothing is out of ordinary
    I think that the cable is misalignement but how to test??

    I would say it is your shift cable, or else your tranny if farked up.

    there should be a way to tighten the shift cable. look down towards the bottom of the lever to see.

    The shift cable adjustment is in the console.

    Put shifter in Rev or D4. There is a pin you will have to remove to adjust. There is also a lock nut that you might have to loosen depending on which direction you will adjust. Turn the adjuster until holes line up for the pin and try it. It might take a few tries to get it right.

    Make sure when you are done that you snug the lock nut. Also make sure that the holes line up and put the lock pin back in.
