    engine cleanup

I tried searching for my question and couldnt find anything. Maybe somebody can help me?

In the very near future i will be pulling my motor and rebuilding itfrom the ground up. I want to clean up the engine bay as much as possible. What i'm wondering is, what can i take out and remove from my engine and engine bay that will clean it up? I want my motor to be as barebones as possible. I want to remove as many hoses, vacuum lines, etc as possible. I have an 88 LXi. (FI of course). Anybody done this before? I know its not really necessary, but i want it to look as clean as possible.

I'm already going to remove the A/C and all the lines, but i cant think of anything else. I dont know whats necessary and what isnt.

Yea I tried to clean yp my compartment when I did the EFI swap. All that I did is put the battery in the trunk and removed the cruise control. I still like to have the A/C. But those are the 3 biggest things to remove and also the stock intake piping. Do that and some painting and it will look real nice. I painted my plactic stuff a dark blue and all the metal parts a but a ceramic aluminum paint on them. Looks real good.

good ideas all around. I've just noticed when people do motor swaps that it seems like there is a LOT less clutter under the hood then there was stock. Maybe after i get done i'll have less clutter and more parts left over....... :lol
