ok. i got all my stuff installed by car toys. and it hits prettie hard. and i know they do it so that i wont be able to blow my speakers. but i was wondering if i could get it to hit a little harder. so, here's wut i got.

Im running ONE 12" @ 200w rms and it hits plenty hard! Get your SPL measured first to get a baseline and then work from there.
same here, i am running 12" alpine @ 200w and it is lound as hell for me.
are you looking for bass loud or speaker loud?
if you want bass loud, start with better subs. get something that can handle 1000watts at least. After that , upgrade your amp.
i don't see why you want anylounder.
playing music too loud can damage your ears. you can't play music too loud when you driving, unless you have ear plugs.
so what is the point running 1500watt system when you can't listen when you are driving.

From looking at your install, I'd say get an amp for the 6.5's so they'll scream. Once you do that turn HPF on at 125Hz within the HU settings.
let me tell you why i'm asking. because i went on a road trip the other week and had to take out my box so that i could fit stuff in the trunk. and when i put it back in it sounds quiter. i don't know why. maybe its just me. but maybe i did somethin when i took it out.
and how do you get an spl measurement. my system just doesnt' seem loud like it's supposed to be. my homie has two 12" piles and like a 200watt kenwood amp in his house and it seems like it hits harder than mine sometimes

for subs mehhh MTX is ok. Personally i hated sony, but i got one of the new 12" P5 series and it totally changed my opinion of sony. It hits so hard.
If you do'nt feel confortable with you gain, don't touch it.
What kind of box is it? if its a LBP it will be harder to hear when it starts to distort. and that could be bad. It could also be bad if you have a ported thats not tuned right. You could potentially unload your speaker.....baaaad. I designed and built my own sealed enclosure to the specifications that came with my sub and it hits nice and hard. its also very simple to build and is more forgiving than a ported or LBP.
oh wait. you have the dual voice coil subs right? are you 100% they're hooked up right?
you can measure SPL with a el-cheapo radioshack meter. But who knows how good they really are.
i don't know wut hooked up right is. i just know car toys did it and they're supposed to do it right
if they are DVC's the polarity must be correct. its more important with dvc's than single coil subs

Turn the vol. up 80% and turn the gain up till it starts to distort. Adjust it so that there's no distortion at that Vol. That is as far as you should go with your gain.

Ok, here's what's probably going on:
Your subs are wired correctly, as well as the rest of your system. If your subs ARE DVC, then each one is only getting 350 or so watts... you can only hook them up to a 1 or 4 ohm load, and the 1 ohm would toast your amp. Your subs are most likely SVC, getting 750 watts a piece... unless... you probably DO have DVC subs, with each getting around 350, your subs simply can't take more than that. If you really want your system to "pound", ditch the MTX subs, and get some real subs:

All make quality stuff. And if that wasn't enough, build a ported box for your subs... <-- that will have the biggest effect.
But you're also a newbie... I'd suggest you do lots of reading and research before you attempt much of anything. Check out the two links in my sig \/
