    Talking Got my Konis

Well, I just received my Konis today (with a nice custom bill)

I was wondering how to install them. The rear ones are pretty obvious (the plate only goes one way) but the front a re a bit different.

The front comes with the shock plate (reversible) and a small ring. What is that ring for ???? Also I guess that the plate is reversible to lower the car a little more if you want. I know that the "C" clip on the strut is to change the plate height..

Since they are ajustable only when out of the car, I don't want to remove them every week. What was the setting that you guys used?

    Thanks.

If I were you I'd use the higher of the 2 rear spring perch settings.

Use the ring to give the front spring perch clip a little something more substancial to sit on. The proper orientation for the front spring perch is with the lowest plain down. If you install in the other way, where it would have the spring sitting higher, that is not correct.

The struts are shipped full soft. For your Neuspeed's, set them at one full turn off of full soft. If you need help doing the actual adjusting, just ask. The maximum adjustment is around 1 and 3/4 turn's or so. Don't set them to that with your softer Neuspeed's use 1 full turn.

The fronts have 2.25 turns of adjustment, the rears have 1.75 turns. One turn from full soft on front and rear seems good for my H&Rs. If I already had everything apart though, I might try the front about a quarter turn stiffer (1.25 from soft). For the rear perch I used the higher setting and was pleased--it only went down 0.7" with the "1.5 inch" springs.

    Thanks for the input guys

To stiffen it, I turn it Clockwise?

The rear struts comes with the clip on the lower position, I might try it there. However, the car is already higher in the front... Well, I'm not in a rush

    konis with eibachs

When I had Konis on the front with Eibach ProKits, Lee at Koni suggested only a quarter turn. I finally set them at about a half turn and it felt pretty stiff (but I have a delicate butt). Unfortunately, you may have to experiment. The hardest part I had was prying the bracket open wide enough on the front lower fork to let the bottom of the Konis slide in. Hopefully yours won't be so tight.

    Good luck
