Question JCW header for 150 bucks

I was looking through my new JC Whitney catalog last night and i noticed they list a header for the 88-89 accords for 150 bucks. I dont think its the pacesetter header because they list it for $300. I searched the forum and i didnt come up with anything. I think i remember reading about somebody finding this, but i couldnt seem to find it.

Any ideas? My guess its a POS but it was only 150 bucks so it caught my eye.

Another question: Does anybody know of any exhaust shops that do mandrel(sp) bending for exhausts?? I called around to a TON of shops yesterday and everybody said they dont know of anybody who does it. Most people said they dont know of anybody in the Salem (OR) area who does it and i even got a few replies saying nobody in oregon did it........meinke said they do crinkle bending for their exhausts.......this seems strange to me.

It should be a pacesetter...they should be nowhere near $300,unless its ceramic coated...even then it should only be around $240

a pacesetter header is not $299, unless it is the ceramic coated one.

nopi.com has the black pacesetter header for about $160

:lol Well I guess that's what you get for living in the ass end of nowhere, sorry. I have at least 2 exhaust shops that have a mandrel-bending machine within 10 minutes of my house.

Hey now!! We live in the capital of oregon...yeah that's right, Oregon. We leave in the ass end of somewhere, thank you very much haha.

For your exhaust question, I'd buy the pacesetter cat back, which has mandrel bends, and lop off the muffler and put what you want. That's the exhaust setup i have.

    hah hah

i dont have the catalog with me right now, but i'll bring it into work tomorrow.

Alex - i'm not looking for an exhaust, i wanted to get a piece of scrap tubing for a CAI. I was thinking of getting a piece of chrome semi-truck exhaust and using it for my CAI.

i've decided to rebuild the one that i have if its salvageable. Not sure how much damage was done when the oil pump went out. It didnt sieze so thats good, but it was knocking real bad before it went. I probably spun a bearing at least.

yeah, but i'll be barely able to afford a rebuild. I wont be able to afford a b20 for a while yet. I'd rather be able to drive my car then let it sit for 6 more months on top of the year its already been down......
