I went back and forth on the idea of a newer B-Series swap and did buy a B20A instead. I have been working on a B-series swap with a friend that is using all the Place Racing stuff. I will say its not to bad of a swap but do expect to have to play around to get the mounts in properly and the harness is not Plug and Play. So you will need some patience and some help if your not experienced with things. But i must say Juan has been a big help in the whole swap as he has helped a lot on wiring. I even found a mistake in the PRI wiring diagram which Juan did mention but this was before i read that. So anyone planning on one of these swaps plan to spend a bit more time than usual as you will run into some things that require fabrication or modification to work or fit properly.

the only bad thing about the b16a's is that they have very low torque. but i dont know how that comes into effect with the size of the 3rd gens.

cause i'm runnin the 1st gen b16 in my crx right now, and it doesnt really start pullin till around 4500+
on the plus side, ya got vtec
haha, when the vtec hits in the rex you litterally get pushed back into the seat.
but i've also heard that if you slap some civic type r cams in the b16 it helps alot, since the ctr cams have bigger vtec lobes.

so all in all, b16's are probably the best bang for your buck, and since its a b series engine, you have all the interchangeable parts from all the other b series. very fun

What engine year do you have or are planning to install?

The reason i ask is due to OBD compatability issues and hydro tranny issues that you will face, unless you stick to the first gen JDM pre-obd B16A motor.

1st gen b16a's are obd-0 and cable tranny
2nd gen b16a's are obd-1 and also hydro tranny

the wiring is different between the obd's

plus the cable to hydro conversion would probably be a kick in the ass

Im with you there. I just dont get something. If somebody does something like that to a 3g accord, why the hell they dont spend $3.50 xtra to buy a camara and take pics??? That is just so weird.

So, please embarrasse me too and show us some pix.

k, I've been thinking alot lately and I'm thinking I may go the B18A1 route. I can get that engine for WAY cheaper than B16A and although no vtec, its a great engine to boost power on. I'll still have to find out what engine mounts to use, its still gonna be cheaper going this way.
