    Intake

Here's a pic of my custom intake...it's a lot like 88LXi68's, but I moved my battery to the trunk.

Should I paint it? Or leave it boring silver?

So what if it's for a Del Slow? I used it, and obviously it works...don't let car names slow you down...just replace the word Del Sol with the word Accord...works out pretty good.

2.5...AEM makes the filters and by-pass valves for 2.5, 2.75, and 3" so you can use any of those diameters.

I would definetly go with the 2.5", you will get better air flow that way. The people that have used the 3" have said they wished they would have got 2.5"

Making the intake is fairly easy. The hardest part is cutting the pipe. The angles don't have to be exact since the hose clamps will cover all the joints anyway. Just get the angles as close as you can. An angle grinder with grinding wheel is also helpful to smooth out and fine tune the cuts. I would also not recommend anything bigger than 2.5" pipe. I had enough trouble getting the 2.5" tube through the hole leading into the fender. I don't EVEN know how you would fit a 3" pipe through there.

Any body can do this. Just take some time and patience and it will turn out great.

I added a forth piece on my intake to extend out from the throttle body alittle. That's the only thing i did differnt from the instructions on the how-to.

Yeah, I think that page said to get it from JCWhitney...I used the supplied part # and it worked fine.

As for the whole to get it behind the bumper, I just used some body shop tools (sheet metal cutter on a air hammer) to make the hole bigger.
