the 2nd gen Prelude 2.0si (84-87) is the same BT/A20A3 engine that sits in our Accords. Hence why its sportier transmission bolts to our engines without a hitch.

He was talking to "stupid8000" and as to the trannies, the prelude tranny has shorter gearing than the one from the 3g.

...but it will bolt right up? Just closer gear ratios? Does anyone on here have a prelude tranny on their car?

tranny from lude will bolt right up.

it is better than carbed gears. though i dont know how different the FI accord trannies are from the SI ludes. i always thought they were the same. but who knows.

i always assumed the ratios were closer because the prelude was honda's sports car back then and it would of needed the closer gears.
