    which stuts for sprint springs

I have a 88 lxi with sprint springs and was wondering which struts would work the best. I also have access to a set of ground controls but the guy says they suck. I think Ill get them anyway. I think the reason he says they suck is because he is using tokico struts rather than Koins. Anyway which setup would work best? Oh and this is for the 88 that the B20a turbo setup is going in not the 89 with the B20a.

And dont flame me Ive searched. If you find it just add a link and that will be much abliged

I think carrotman is saying revalved Bilsteins OR standard Koni's.
First thing you gotta do is hope you can get the Koni's in the first place as the supply is drying up for good since they have been discontinued.
H&R springs revalved Bilstein front struts, koni struts in the rear 195/55-15 Dunlop W-10's Dc Sports header custom cat-back with Dynomax super turbo w/3" Brembo slotted & dimpled rotor's EBC pads
Well, that's what I used to have, wrecked, 7/3/02.

They are tial wastegate 35mm, hks evc 4, apexi super afc, vortech fmu, gude intake and TB, and some axis carbon fiberpads with slotted rotors. I NEED to do the rear swap like rob though also. So atandard konis not revalved. Cool thatll save me some green. Thansk alot guys I really appreciate it.

Yeah Jim, I re-read my sentence and it wasn't that clear.

It's revlaved bilsteins OR regular konis.

I can't get parts for a B20A. I might buy a whole engine in the future (or 2) as a spare (the shops will only sell complete engines)

I'll let you know about the parts. The rear mount can be bought new, or you could even modify your current tranny mount ( I might have someone do this for me and sell some here)

For the halfshaft, I'm sure we can get one from another USDM Honda.

well carot if you know of a shop that sells B20a;s cheap for parts let me know. I currently have one for each car but that means no extra parts. I am planning a buy in the near future to the link with new parts and Ill most likely buy a few more sets of everything just to be on the safe side in the future. Hate to do a swap to have to swap back due to lack of parts. Let me know how everything goes. I am trying to keep up with everyone else thats oing the swap and like everyone else theres the lack of time and funds for me right now with starting a family. Cant think only about myself anymore. Damn

Whoa whoa whoa, wait a minute. You might be creating a car that needs a higher level of strut control. What exactly are you planning on creating. And what do you want out of your lowered suspension? What would be the things you want out of it?

well what I want and what I can have are two different things now. What I AM doing is a B20a turbo. I am keeping the stock compression and putting a garrett t25 turbo probably in the range of 8-15 psi depending on the dyno charts. I am planning on doing everything right the first time. Meaning I got a ludespeed kit custoomized by tim coleman for fitment of the jdm b20a. I have an act stage 3 clutch, msd 6al with blaster coil, hks super sequential blow off valve, tial 35mm wastegate, hks evc 4, apexi super afc, votech fmu, and am in the process of getting a gude massaged head and intake and TB.

As for the suspension now I have sprint springs or ground controls which ever I prefer to use I have both but am looking for a set of konis now (obviously) I currently have tokicos on the GC and kybs on the sprints. I have a DC sports strut tower brace and I think thats about all that I can think of for performance applications.

As far as an overall goal I want a very streetable 3gee. My fiend has beet me to the punch and has convertered his 240 into a silvia S14 I beleive and even did a few mods himself. I want to kick his ever loving ASSSSS. Plus I would like it too look pretty cool.

I have jdm corners on bth cars and 17 on the wifes 4 door and am getting enkei rpm-2(bortex) at the end of the month for the sedan. The enkeis are going to be 17 weighing in at 16 lbs and I think that i can get some of that weight back on the flywheel and other parts of the internals of the engine. I know about the whole 16 or 17 topic and I like the look of 17 better than the performance gains of the 16. Sorry. So what do you think ineed. Like I said before Jim you are the MAN so if you say i need it then ill get it. Thansk Mike

Well, on reflection. You can go ahead and get the Koni's (if you can) and if you need more strut power, just simply send them to koni at that time to be revalved.
