Why don't you just get the swap done? Or is that out the door?

all i know is that my dad's friend used to have one of those.
if i am not mistaking it should have at least 200hp.
    they are great.
Saab is a very old company. first they were building airplane engines, they still do( i think, at least you can find SAAB jetfighter in Europe). Engines on those things awesome. i was looking at one one time but the guy wanted to much.
    I would get it.
you could do a little tweaking with a turbo and get it running at 250 at the wheels easy.
    well that is all.

    thanks for the info
I took it for a test drive today and i was really into this car!
it needs a new clutch but the first and second gears really holds!
If my rims fit on this thing i might get it!

my advice is that you should change the clutch before buying the car and see how the car runs ! while the broblem of the clutch could be more than just a clutch !

    I dont mind the SAAB 9000 turbo's.

I saw one at a dealer not long ago with full leather interior, auto transmission, ummm $19k though.

I wouldn't mind a SAAB turbo convertible, one of the old school ones, their nice.

Wonder though how much mods you can do with the turbo's and how much you can boost these BIaChees!

SAAB='s A car much more slanted to a enthusist's liking, with a hefty dose of quirkyness added in. You had better check out the price of repairs, I'll bet it's mighty expensive. And if you run into something you can't fix yourself, you may not have much luck finding a shop that know's how to fix them and parts availibility is another issue. You may also want to explore their record for reliability. If their don't hold thier value very well that's not a good thing.

PARTS for any Saab = $$$$$$$$$$$$. Maintenance isn't cheap either and getting a brake job done CASH...man I hope you know your shit about cars because if anything happends to it your going to want to fix it yourself cause we all know what labor costs can do to you. Having a turbo would be off the hook though,...good luck
