group buy- stainless mandrel bent exhaust!

I contacted a gentleman that did a big group buy for honda-tech.com for stainless mandrel bent exhaust pipe. I asked him if he could make an exhaust for the 3rd gen. He said that he could make the exhaust and would like to possibly do a group buy price for us. That all depends on how many people would be interested in buying one of these though.(his normal price is $185 for aluminized steel and $215 for stainless) Check out this thread at honda-tech. That pretty much explains everything about the product that he offers. Most of the pictures are on pages 4, 5 and 7. You can check out everything on his web site also at http://www.accordinglydone.com/store

I forgot to mention he can do 2.25" 2.5" and 3" all mandrel bent.

I really want to know what you think and if you would be interested. Also, Please ask me if you have any questions.

*NOTE*- this does not include a muffler. It is the piping only. You will need to take it to a exhaust shop and have them weld everything up. read this thread on honda-tech for all of the info!

one more thing- I will not make any money from this! I have nothing to gain, I just thought that it would be good if I could coordinate a group buy and get the people of 3geez a good deal on a nice exhaust.

DAMN. thats a helluva good deal. Even better then DC Sports! And usually, custom made exhaust is a lot better then wholesaler stuff like DCS. I'd be interested if i had the money. Anybody looking for exhaust and has the money should deffinately look into it.

I'm liking that a lot. Only, I'm more broke then I've ever been right now, so I'll have to wait a while on this. But yeah, I just read about 10 of those pages and everyone had something good to say. Great deal!

Nobody is interested in this? I find that hard to believe. This is a group buy and it will go through. I just need a few people to sign up.

Please ask if you have any questions

No doubt I'm going to buy an exhaust from this guy, but I'm not going to have ANY cash for a long while. There's a few other people here that I have to pay off, then there's more bills.

cost alone for the stainless parts from JCW was like $300!!! so this is one helluva deal.

There are probably a lot of people interested, but most people (like me) just cant come up with the money right now. Its a shame because thats a killer deal.

hell ya, it's kick ass low, I want in but I just brought a header a week ago and had my downpipe replaced two weeks ago. The header has a downpipe and the one I just brought was $200.
If there are people who wanna buy my stock catback(used 3months) and downpipe (used 2weeks), I would join in on the buy. I'm gonna post it and would like to hear about the deadline.

so far, there really isnt a deadline. basicly I would just like to get some interest so I can show him that there are people that want to buy an exhaust. He said that initally he would like to do a group buy price for the first batch of people that want in. I would really like to have a few more people to get in on this (I will be buying one also). There isnt a set time or number of people that have to get in on this, I would just like to have a few more people.

Also, this guy is very legit. He has sold tons of exhaust stuff to honda-tech members. Read through the 12 pages of his thread on honda-tech (link in my first post) You will not find a single non satisfied customer. You will only hear good things about him and his product.

It might be a good deal, but when I read the thread, I noticed something that turns me down a bit

1- You only get the piping, you have to weld the flanges and hangers yourself (so you need a TIG welder if you go with SS )

2- They do not come with a resonator, you have to get it separately.

    Not even a muffler either?

    First post should have read,

Stainless steel exhaust system, pipe bending only. You must supply your own muffler, resonator (if wanted) and you must have hangers and flanges welded on.

This should have been explained in the very first post, this is NOT the kind of thing someone should have to dig for. Even I was thinking this was a complete system with muffler ready to bolt on. Please explain things in complete detail when you post, yes it's more work for you but it has to be done in post's like this. You can't just say "stainless mandrel bent exhaust pipe" and not explain the other little details.
H&R springs revalved Bilstein front struts, koni struts in the rear 195/55-15 Dunlop W-10's Dc Sports header custom cat-back with Dynomax super turbo w/3" Brembo slotted & dimpled rotor's EBC pads
Well, that's what I used to have, wrecked, 7/3/02.

    Now I d

I didn't feel mislead at all actually. He did give a link to both the thread at honda-tech, and the guys website. That thread fully describes what is, and is not included in the purchase. Actually he does offer some muffler choices along with the piping.

As for the welding though, any muffler shop can do the little welding that's needed for very cheap. Either way, that's still a great price for custom stainless piping.

I will add that to the original post. But I didnt feel that It was needed because I told people to read the post on honda-tech that explains everything. You do not have to dig for it, it is right there. I dont think you guys need to turn this into a big thing.
