    injector install how to

    Disclaimer:
    ************************************************** **
First Spelling errors or bad grammar Please deal with it. Second buy a manual or download one fromhttp://www.pauldesign.ru/honda/ it will come in handy. Third read up and make sure you have all the tools needed. And finally I am not responsible for you fubaring (fubar~ fucked up beyond all recognition) you car.
    ************************************************** **

    ************************************************** **
    Tools list
    Sockets between 10mm-12 mm
    Socket extensions
    Socket wrench
    Pick or flathead for clips
    Lucas fuel treatment

    Optional equipment

    Shop light
Extendable magnet (For dropped things I would have been fubared without it)

    ************************************************** **

Start by disconnecting the negative battery cable. I have no picture for this if you cannot do it your self then stop now and take you car to a shop!!!

First off don't install any injectors that have an o-ring that looks bad or is not there. Check for wearing or cracks, if it is bad you will have leaks.

Next I suggest pulling the ECU fuse under the hood I believe it is the one with the square but check your particular car's sticker.

Next Relieve the fuel pressure by loosening the bolt connected to the special banjo bolt on the fuel filter. (Warning fuel may spray).

Next use a pointed object or flat head screwdriver to remove the clips on the injector electrical connections. I have highlighted it in blue for better vision.

This is what it should look like next remove these (2) 10mm screws. It will make things easier when it comes time to move the fuel rail.

Nov disconnect the vacuum line and fuel return line from the fuel regulator sorry I have no picture on the car as I have replaced it so I took one of it un attached.

After that remove these (4) 10mm nuts BE VERY CAREFUL THEY CAN BE LOST EASILY. I used a magnet to help keep them around.

OK, now carefully lift slowly up on the fuel rail until the injectors can be removed and also take note of how they are facing. Replace each injector with the new one facing about the same way.

Ok you can now replace everything in the reverse order. Once again BE VERY CAREFUL NOT TO LOSE ANY OF THE RAIL NUTS.

Ok now tighten the bolts down hand tight when all 4 are tightened down do it again this time with a bit more pressure. Be careful the bolts snap easy. After all 4 bolts are tight check them one more time. Reinstall the nuts, lines, clips, and pressurize your system.

To do this turn your key all the way without starting your car wait for the check engine light to go off. Do it once again for good measure. Check for leaks then if there aren’t any, try to start your car. Let it idle for a bit while the ECU relearns the injectors (check for leaks). Then shut it off and look for leaks. Start it back up and take it for a drive it may idle a bit weird at first until the ECU learns it's new injectors. Bring it home one final check for leaks and you are off.

You don't need to do this next step. But I ran Lucas fuel treatment through the system just incase and I would suggest you do it too if your injectors are used.

Mods I know this is in the wrong section but I don't have acess to the how to section. All I ask is leave it up for one week and then put it in the how to section if you feel it is good enough. Also other members tell me if I forgot anything and I will add it.

    So questions comments please post.

HEED THAT WARNING!!! I sheared a rail stud that way about ten minutes ago. They can be replaced rather easily though but it's a real headache.
