I also have 2 ECUs

1 automatic and 1 5spd.

The numbers shouldnt have to match up because I changed ECUs when i converted to 5spd AND Ihave seen some guys who converted to 5spd but kept the same ECU.

as long as it is a Y1 ecu t will work..if you like I have two that both worked in my 89 sei perfectly and both had different numbers then teh stock SEI ecu...
