i dont have a block sander, is there a kind of sandpaper i can go to the hardware store and buy that i can use to sand my valve cover down?

I painted mine anodized blue, looks killer, but sucks that I have no pics to post it. I used a wire brush with my die grinder air tool and removed all the paint in like 2 mins. I put 5 coats on it so it can get a deep blue to it but enough to reflect the metal under it. You can see where I started with a drum sand paper on it.

I'll post pics as soon as I take them and develop them considering my digicam isnt workin still.
