You'd better give it a good home, I helped Vern pull that engine out of his car, it's in mint condition.

I will I promise. Hey guys I can get as many parts off this 89 lude Si for $250. Should I do it? It's got mint seats, running b20a5 motor, spoiler with led, nice steering wheel the T kind, and tons more. Everything from the engine is in tact still. What parts would or should I grab for my JDM b20a?

The guy also said for $50 more he will pull the motor and tranny for me. So I don't know. I know I want the seats and spoiler and that comes to $120 alone. But now I get an engine with parts for my b20. I just need to know what I can use off of the b20a5 for my b20a?

Sorry to hear about that.. $700 plus shipping is kinda steep! If you ever become desperate enough to lower the price let me know.. I would suggest to try some Prelude boards.. Older Preludes can use that engine.. Good Luck!

i dont think that 700 is too much to ask especially since the manual trans is hard to come by.... and i personally know the motor is good... i will admit that it would be a better deal to someone that could pick it up... i did figure the shipping for Mike's89AccordLX at like 200... and its pretty far from boise to minnesota... i dunno i guess even at 900 thats still not too shabby, plus it comes with the integra dist and cam sensor which will just plug into a stock efi harness and run

I was just expressing my frustration...

it's probably a good thing for me though, I went ahead and bought another A20A3 for $200 to put back in it. I'll probably rebuild and throw a small cam and header on it. I with this motor I just bought I will now have 3 working heads and intake manifolds, so I might try to port and polish one myself. As with you I probably won't keep the car for but another year or so, so keeping the stock type motor in there will have it's benefits when I decide to sell.

Hey Silver did you buy that A20A3 new or used???

I found a site thats selling unused, brand new A20A engines for about $500. But thats what they say, dunno for sure if its new and never been used.

500 for unused is pretty good...
I bought it used from the local salvage yard. They wanted 325 for it but i told them i just wanted it for a core and was only willing to give 200. It is in really good shape from several visual indicators. It came with a dist, and all the sensors, even the vacuum control box. I'll probably tear into it this weekend just to make sure the crank is turnable

Hey guys.....Is this B20A motor/tranny still for sale? If so, I'm seriously interested. I pulled the oil pan off my A20A1 to find the piston rod bearing on my no. 1 cylinder burned up and melted right out! The motor sounds like I threw a rod in an old pushrod V8. In other words, after 254,000 miles, My accord has finally died.

I hope this is the setup that drops right into our cars. I've read sooo much about swaps, installs, upgrades and rebuilds that my brain is MUSH!!!!!

I've had little luck trying to find a decent motor out here in Northern California. A used A20A1 goes for $600 which is about all I can afford. But I'm not going to pay that for a motor that is used and abused.

Anyways, to whoever owns the B20A, let me know if it's still available.
Gone thru two minivans and two sports cars, but my accord keeps on going at 254,000 miles. Actually, it died. But here comes the JDM B20A!!!

    Accord owner since 1995
