Amp, Is it stable?

Alright, I found a RF Power HX2 (Dual 2ohm) with a box for a decent price.. But, I want to know if my amp is stable down to 1ohm. I'll be wiring it in Parallel so i can get the most out of my amp sence the RMS on the Sub is 1,000Watts and my amp is 800Watts Bridged, Not sure at what ohms though... The amp is Crunch DS-4002, If any of you know if it's stable.. Lemme know. Thanks

Edit..Again: From what i've come up with the amp would push waay to much for the sub at 1Ohms, That's if the amp is stable at 1Ohms and if i've figured this up right so far. ..Here's what i have determined,

400 x 2 @ 4 Ohms
800 x 1 @ 4 Ohms
600 x 2 @ 2 Ohms
1200 x 1 @ 2 Ohms
800 x 2 @ 1 Ohms
1600 x 1 @ 1 Ohms

...Im already starting to believe it's not Stable at 1 Ohms sence it's not a Mono Amp.. Oh well, Doesnt really matter now anyway.

Cool, Thanks shep. Guess i'll stick to finding a good deal on an Audiobahn AW1206T (Dual 4 Ohm) and wire it bridged parellel to get a 2 ohm load, I'll have to turn the gain down some.. But, i'am sure one will blow my 2 RF Punch's that are 3 years old away with the right box. My brother just had his system tested and he hit a bit above 130DB, My system hits hella harder than his.. So no telling what im hitting at now. If i don't find any good deals though, I'll do fine with what i have.

so what wire your subs series/parralel for a 2 ohm load and run it in mono; if the amp can handle 1 ohm stereo it can handle 2 ohms mono

Well, Crunch replied to my email. Turns out that the amp isnt even stable at 2 ohms bridged only 4 ohms bridged and 4 & 2 ohms stereo.. Damn, I need a new amp. More than likely i'll try it 2 ohms bridged and see what happens, If it dies on me... Oh well
I'll probably try and find a JBL BP1200.1 ..Anyone know if those are good amps? I've seen them on Ebay at a decent price.

a 1200.1 will fry that sub at 1 ohm.. over 2000 watts! get that dual 2 ohm and bridge it to 4 ohm.. then hook it 4 ohm mono to your crunch amp.. problem solved!

The JBL 1200.1 puts out slightly LESS at 1 ohm than it does at 2 ohms... this is due to the limiting design they have in the circuitry. It IS stable at 1 ohm, though, and will put out roughly 1200 watts at 1 and 2 ohms.

My advice on your situation is this:

If your amp puts out 800 watts bridged into 4 ohms, it will should work great for you. Just make your box big enough to use the wattage to the subs maximum efficiency.

If you really want an amp that puts out ~1000 watts to the sub, I have a few suggestions, in order of preference:
Tsunami 1100 DB - 1100 watts into 1 ohm, I have one, works very well, good quality, all around kick-ass amp. $235 + shipping from www.edesignaudio.com
Lanzar Opti 1000.1 - 1000 watts into 1 ohm (not sure, maybe at 4), excellent quality and features, but you can only find them on eBay for a decent price, elsewhere online they are like $500, ebay is ~$200
JBL 1200.1 - ~$230 on eBay and elsewhere, cheap power... that's about it, not great quality, but it gets the job done. Actually LOSES output over time if pushed to its limits all the time.

Any class D amp loses its efficency when pushed to the limit all the time, whereas class a/b gains efficency at full power. The JBL 1200.1 has alot of power, but its isnt that stable and they have been known to start on fire (literally). For a good amp thats cheap, I like the Lanzar Vibe 1200d, puts out a ton of power, has nice x overs, and runs cool. It doesnt sound as clean as much more expensive amps or big big class A/B amps but most class Ds dont
