    Carb Question

If I remove the slow mixture cut off solenoid from the carburator and plug the hole it was in, what kind of behavior can i expect from my car? i am pretty sure the solenoid is no good, it never shuts off... which is causing my car to stall when i come to a complete stop. has anyone ever tried this? for those of you who have a carb and have removed the vacuum lines, did you keep the solenoid on... or just disconnect it? and if i do have to replace it, does anyone know what part number it is?
