I'm down with a Cummins diesel engine. It comes w/ a turbo! Make sure you put a damn good set of iridium spark plugs in there before you push that boost controller to 30 psi!

hey guys just got back from the shop they said it could be done with a lot of time and money, i need to go to the junk yard and pick up a transfer case for the rear end. if anyone knows is they sll rol cages for a lxi please let me know. they said it would be needed to support the frame of the car.. the s2000 would cost round 12000 to get fixed because the frame of that was bent so if i could pay half that to get this to work id be happy.. thanks for all the positve posts

you'd have to get a roll cage custom made. Why dont you just use the entire s2000 drive train?

ok dude...this is not going to be just a SWAP...I looked into doing it awhile back in a hatch and it would work but now that I do not have accsess to a chassis jig I just forgot about it...It is possible but you are looking at cutting the intire car up and buildng a complety custom tube frame...as for a rearend I found that the AE86 was the close to fit but I would not use it because it is weak as hell...a S2000 rear end is too complecated and is too short so just get a 12 bolt chevy or 9-inch ford and chop it and get custom yokes made for it...also you will have to push the firewall back and make a tranny humb inside...too much work and too much $$$...if you have the $$$ do it,other than that dont even try it

thank you very much for the info i think i am getting another person to help me with the cost... the guys at the shop said it would be alot cheaper to get alot of the parts from the junk yard... i think these guys can pull it off because they turned a crx into a mid engine car using a 91 nsx motor.

This may be a dumb question, but is the S2000 totalled? If not, I would rather be driving around in an S2000 any day of the week!

got a few questions for you
#1 where do you expect to get the money for everything? Paying a shop to do all the work is going to add up really fast seeing as how most charge 70 bucks an hour.
#2 Why not just get a lx-i and drop in a b18c5, slap a turbocharge on it, and then call it a day.
#3 who in the fuck has an uncle that gives away s200's regardless of condition? um year 2000.....

Well why dont you just get them to make mounts for the engine and do most of the work yourself, then take it in and have them do the rest of the work. You will also have to convert to fuel injection, new wire harness, convert to rwd, they dont make mounts for this swap so you need them custom made= money, replace a whole bunch of things inside of your engine bay, convert to 6 speed, and plenty more after that. So if you want to chuck out the money for it all i would expect to pay around 10k total to get it all ready if a shop was to do it.
