So my friend who has a celica alltrak wanted me to run this past you guys. He wants to get some rims and someone told him that
17.5 pounds for a 15 inch wheel and 19.5 for 16in wheel is heavy. What do you guys think?

Have your friend check out this site. It lists pretty much all the factory alloys and aftermarket rims and their weights, sorted by weight or by size. I'd say the weights you gave are on the heavy side and you can certainly do allot better than that, for a price
