Question about battery light...

Ok, so this is what happens. My car is an automatic. I start in first gear and I get up to about 5 RPMs and the battery light flickers just for a split second. Then I get into second and it flickers again at around 4 RPMs, it barely ever does it in third. What is the problem?

Check your alternator belt and its cable connections. If they're all ok it's probably a worn out alternator. Most auto parts stores will test your charging system for free to verifiy the problem.

sounds to me like ur battry cable is coroded. look at ur connections and see if there is a flaky dust ocming oujt of the connection. like mike said look at ur alternator belt but that doesnt sound like the problem. u might need to replace ur alternator.
