What are the best coil overs for an 88 Accord? I would be using Koni struts with them? I have eibach springs right now, but I want to go lower....

Easy answer. Ground-Controls. Quality and they don't use the super high spring rates the others. Even then, consider the GC spring rates as the upper limit of what you koni's can handle. On that line of thought, you may feel the need to revalve the koni's to better control them, or you may feel fine with them, up to you.
If the idea of paying to revalve is to much $$, DO NOT look at coilovers that are stiffer than the GC's, which is pretty much all the others.

Well, that's what I used to have, wrecked, 7/3/02.

the fucker that sold me the 88 is lucky he lives 500 miles from me...
spring rate's tell you how stiff a spring is (or the springs in a coilover are). The stock springs are 211lbs front and 117 rear. ALL lowering springs and coilovers have higher spring rates than that. If their was a "proper" spring rate is would be around 300 front 200 rear on average, most lowering springs are a tad higher than that. The real problem with spring rates is when members blindly go after coilovers that are really REALLY stiff, or they want to lower thier car yet don't want to invest in the struts that will keep the car riding and driving right and offer all the performance benefits of lowering springs.Originally posted by modu03

no sir, its not worth 70 bux.
Thats a link to the tornado Air Swirling Air Insert again. Do me a favor and find what ever springs or coilovers you found and copy the text and paste it into a reply. That way I'll be able to answer.Originally posted by modu03
