    Question Which clutch to get?

Well my clutch is slipping pretty bad. I had to take off my 17" and put on the steelies in order to still have fun. I'm going to buy NX kit here soon so I need a new clutch to go with it. There is the ACT which is %40 stronger for around $235 I think. Or get a Clutch Master stage 2, %70 stronger for $469. I would like to run a 60 shot, I just need to know what would be my best clutch for this application.

get a 6puck stage 2. Thats your best bet. And an upgraded pressure plate if possible. Kinda pointless to have an upgraded clutch if you dont have an upgraded pressure plate.

When you buy the clutch it comes with the better pressure plate and throw out bearing.
I would get the CM, but I really don't want to spend that much.

Yea I have seen those on ebay before, but I'm not to sure on the reliabilty of them. Besides they claim to hold up to 10% better than stock. With a 60 shot it would be slipping in no time. I wouls rather get the ACT then the Exedy any day.

Exedy is a good clutch. Honda uses them in some of their cars. Also, it is a little known fact that Exedy makes clutches for ACT.

Ok so the Exedy is a good clutch, but still it won't hold up to good with a 60 shot. For the money the ACT is sounding pretty good to be right now.

How much is one. Is it just for the clutch or is it pressure plate and throw out bearing too.

the 6 puck that i have listed says its not recommended for street use. If you find an ACT clutch you want, let me know and i'll get a price for you.

This kit utilizes a Heavy Duty Pressure Plate, which is superior to the stock pressure plate. The disk itself is made of a copper ceramic material which holds approximately 28% more torque than an organic lining. ACT Copper Ceramic Xtreme Race Discs engage fairly harsh and are not normally recommended for street use. ACT recommends 6-pad ACT Xtreme Race Discs for larger sizes to absorb more heat and for smoother engagement. The 4-pad ACT Xtreme Race Discs engage harsher, shift faster, and are well suited for smaller disc sizes from smaller engines. This kit also comes with a throwout bearing and alignment tool.
$260 i dont know if this is something we'd want to put on our 3G's.

I'm not sure on which one but here is the one the Racing Impulse is selling. ACT clutch kit HA2-HDSS (longer life)....................$295.95 This one is suppose to hold up to %40 more then stock. I want a clutch that will have smooth enganment, maybe not a smooth as stock but close, and will hold up to a 60 shot.

has anyone ever heard of SPEC clutches? I keep having to replace my clutches, even the high-performance ones... I'm on my 2nd, and am going to have to replace it soon... a guy I work with said I could get a stage II from spec, and that should be all I need.... but at the website, they go up to stage IV for 89 accords! I'm thinking about a stage3, but not sure... anyone know about spec? also, I heard bad things about centerforce....but that was from this same guy...so it may have just been his vehicle that wasn't any good

I will just get the 200 tq clutch. I might not be ablt to make it to the meet now. My work schedule is all fucked up and inorder to go to the meet I might miss out on two weeks of work. So it might be best to ship it unless I can drive up and pick it up.
