Painting sub box

what is the best paint to use for painting my sub box and should i primer it before i paint it?

get some hi fill primer... spray it on.. it will fill all the pores in th wood.. then get yourself the BEST spray paint you can find...

instead of primer, try rocker guard spray.. its a black rubberized protectant that dries paintable... it gives a textured look to the box
