I think this was posted a while ago. I think it would be nice to have on a show car, but for a daily driver it would get way to dirty.

My buddy has a clear section on his 5g on his hood over his head/headers and it stays pretty clean. He washes his car a lot, but i've never really seen the 'window' dirty. Thats a better way to go IMO then a whole hood thats clear.

It's lighter, but doesn't say how much lighter, maybe a pound or two lighter and they call it lightweight, ha!

thats just more reason for someone to want to steal ur car, thats if it was put on a daily driver anyway. Just shows off all the craploads of money uve spent under the hood.

Yeah I think I mentioned something about this almost a year ago. They're acrylic hoods. I would rather have a CF hood myself after really thinking about it. If you read the fine print on some of those hoods, it says warranty doesn't cover fading or melting. Personally I wouldn't want a melting hood

the clear hoods have been around for a while. they also come in yellow and red and a couple other tints. i agree, for a show car they would be nice. for a daily driver it would be a waste. i could see swapping them out if you put your car in shows, but don't wanna drive around with the clear one on all the time. basically they're only good for shows.

I saw a nice pic of one of those hoods with a chick standing behind it with no clothes on and where the hood was not blocking, her clothes. They were trying to compare to X-Ray vision or something.

I doubt it would get much dirtier than your windshield when you think about it, it might not even get that bad, because bugs don't divebomb your ass when you go down the highway, they just play chicken with your windshield.
