I sent set of 5 star pony wheels with 225/55-16 for like 85 bucks , guess it just depends on the distance. Like the song says"it aint the years son, it's the miles"
never heard that song,how much does a alloy rim w/ low pro tire weigh? I just figured like 18 lbs????? I guess It would be cheaper If I removed the tires,but that would cost too.

I don't remember what the weight was exactly but it wasn't tooo bad to send em, didn't even have to box or wrap em, but that may be different if its wheels only. See if theres a used tires place in town, they may take em off for free as long as you let them keep the tires. Oh and the song is an old country one by Chris Ledoux
actually if you were to bring them to get the tires taken off, most likely they'll charge you to remove each tire. Then if you don't want to keep the tires, and you want them to just "do whatever" with them, chances are they'd also hit you for "disposal fees" for each tire. When I had a set of 17's shipped to me from FL (I'm in CT), they cost about 160 to ship if I'm not mistaken. Kev, where did you get that quote from?
IMO, the best way I've seen wheels shipped (I got two sets sent to me this way.) is each wheel/tire in it's own box with a thin sheet of styrofoam on both the top and bottom to protect the rim and face of the wheel during shipping.
It may not be the cheapest way, but you save on it not being an "oversized" package (b/c you don't pack 'em all in one big, heavy-ass box.), and it's one of the safest.

I haven't heard anything back from him,shipping sounds expensive,people were getting back to me on cheaper shipping methods,but haven't heard anything,no one has given me $ yet,still available.

I've been looking for a cheaper way to ship them, cause I know there is cheaper out there. If someone else wants to buy them, go right ahead. But if you still have them when I find a cheaper way to ship, then I will buy them.
