question for body experts.

just want to know what would be best to fill in holes on the body of the car? drilled holes that is.

like dxhatchback said, weld it shut and grind it down. If it's bigger than a hole, then weld a piece of sheetmetal in and then grind it down smooth.

Ya weld the grind, if needed use bondo or other body filler to get nice and smooth.

just use JB WELD... it works wonders, and will sand smooth easily

if they're the small holes like the ones that the side mouldings pop into, i believe JB Weld will do the trick and you can smooth it out pretty good while its wet and sand it smooth later.

I just ground the rust out on my wheel well lip and turns out the rust was sparked by a dent. I gotta fill the dent.. I guess I'll use the JB Weld. Is it better than bondo?

JB weld is practically liquid metal. If its a small dent (smaller then a quarter) its way better then that who-knows-what-the-hell-it-is bondo shit. Isnt that stuff like clay or some shit?

if you want a straight body replace the whole panel...unless you are very good with bondo it will never turn out straight

depending on what body panel it is, it would probably be easier/cheaper to just fill it. Back body panels are a BITCH (not to mention expensive) to replace and get right.

if you can get to the back of the hole .. your can lay a small bit of fiber glass and come on the outside with bondo hair or filler. when i shaved my moldens on my car i was to lazy to take off the door panels. so i ==

took fiberglass and resin/ bondo hair/ bondo filler/ various grains of sand paper
1. i took a 2 by 2 in (doesn't have to be exact) squares of fiberglass mat and drenched it in resin and hardern and rolled it up and stuffed it in the hole
2. fish the twisted fiber glass mess around in the hole wait to dry
3. sand down with hard grain sand paper (preferably orbital type sander wal-mart= 30 bucks)
4. lay a little more fiber glass if you please depeneding on size of hole
5. fill over with bondo hair (bondo filler with fiberglass strands within)
6. sand smooth
7. use bondo filler if needed

anyway thats how i did it .. i have done various welding but i usually don't alway have access to it and don't want to pay others to do it
