    Thumbs up Genuine 3g LIP!!

    I got back from the junkyard and was STUNNED to see a 3g with a lip on it. Went closer and it was a perfect fit! No seams in the plastic to show it was extended or shortened or anything! Even said Honda on it. It was held into the bumper with 10mm bolts all around. I got it for $2!! Got it home and took some pics for you guys!





    Here is one comparing the lip from a CRX (left) and the 3g (right).



    Im going to repaint it white and paint the HONDA letters black and put it on my car!

    you MUST get pics of it on your car. Is there a part number on it anywher?? What model/year did it come off of?

    Sadly it actually came off of an 86-87. i don't know if I'll extend the sides or slap my old 86 bumper on my car I'm thinking of just extending the sides with part of a crx lip. As for the part number I'm not sure but I'll check it out.


    EDIT: even though it was from an 86-87 it is still a perfect fit on the FRONT for an 88-89. The sides need to be extended a few inches to line up properly on an 88-89.

    Haha, sorry Mike I'm not going to sell it. Its too rare lol! Anyways I took a few more pics of it so you guys can get an idea of how it looks....

    The first is a pic of how it lines up on the 86-87 bumper..



    This one shows how it would line up on an 88-89 (it may be a bit off as I wasn't paying attention when I took the picture...)



    and the last is one where I layed the front piece on the 86-87 bumper and took a picture from the top of the shed....

    dude that is badass!!! did you find a part# stamped on it at all? what kind of accord did you find it on(LX-I,SE-I,etc.)

    Sorry I just looked and there was no part number on it. Nevermind no numbers or anything at all. I got it off of just a base model accord. Was an LX.......(DX in the states).

    yeah but we can't just say I want an 86-87 DX lip though. Don't we need a part #? B/c I don't think the US made the cars with the lips like that.

    I was under the impression they needed a part number for something like that. I will check now, gonna ask for a front bumper lip on a 86 or 87 DX or if they have any other bumper lips.




    edit: I called them and they said they couldn't find any bumper lip for any model or year for our cars. Damn I want a JDM one to go with my JDM spoiler.

    omega3001x originally had one on his 86 lx-i, but his dad got mad at it, ripped it off and tossed it in the garbage, lol
