Is there only one timing related belt? no ballancer, right?
Is there only one timing related belt? no ballancer, right?
On our engines, yes. On the newer ones, like our 98 Odyssey, there are three (one timing, two balancer)
Cool. I know on the 4geez, that there is a balancer, but I didn't know about the 3geez.
3 geez and civics (as far as I know) have no balancer shafts, newer accords with F22s do tho... and v6s do too i think

Yes, 4g Accords (2.2 liter) have one balancer shaft. Our 2.3 liter VTEC motor in the van has two.
That is why I may very well pay somebody to do the T-Belt job. It is no needed until 110,000 miles, but you have to be able to hold the balancer shafts in a specific position when replacing the belts. Even the factory shop manual makes it sounds like a pain.
yea and if it comes out a little bit off you'll end up screwing up the bottom end.
Thank the 3gee for its simplicity
