    90-93 accord shocks in a 3g???

anybody know if the shocks for a 4g accord will fit in a 3g... i know that they are taller, but I can make them shorter... I have access to a machine shop.

I need to know if there are any other problems that woul make the shocks not fit our cars...

I am asking because a friend of mine just totaled his 91 accord, with konis on it (coil over set-up)... only on for about 500miles.

he will sell them to me dirt cheap, but I need to know what I will have to do to them to fit them in our cars.

    please... any info is appreciated

88 lxi 4dr, 5spd, threw a rod... in process of swapping engine from my 87 hatch (police recovered what was left of the car).

the fucker that sold me the 88 is lucky he lives 500 miles from me...

4th gen accord struts cannot work. Access to a machine shop will not be able to change the problem. The problem is they are far to tall. Even the shortened koni or Bilstien sport unit's are way to tall. The body of the strut is to tall and the maximum and minimum strut rod travel range is totally incompatable. Same thing for 92-00 civic struts.

Do not be fooled into finding, "hey, they bolted right into my car", "THEY DO TO WORK" Because the travel range is wrong, you will have very limited suspension travel range that will have you smashing the strut rod into the struts all the time, super awfull ride quality and quick strut death, dangerious suspension behavior to while driving.

The only remaining hope we have are 88-91 civic struts. We never got the hoped for critical measurement's on them. But the problem is, who on earth around here has got a set of 88-91 civic KYB AGX or Koni sports laying around to measure. Ok, measureing stock like unit's is a start. But out best hope is to actually check out the shortened bodied AGX's or sports.
