Wiring help!! Need answer pretty quick!

K, first off I just got back down to denver and this is my first time I've had a chance to get my newer speakers installed up front. Well, I ordered them off the internet a little while back thinking I had 5 1/4 speakers up front... turns out their 6.5s... oh well. My Kappas are big so they barly fit. Anyway, I'm having a little trouble wiring... not really trouble, but I'm confused. The conection to the old speakers is just the two sleaves, they look like this:

And this is what the conections for the kappa's look like.

There isn't any of those sleaves, so can I just strip them both down, and soldger them together??? Thanks
    Aaron

Well if you decide in the future for the spade plugs, just visit radio shack and drop about $6. It will be as clean as your soldered setup, but also give you the option to change the speakers again if need be.
