I would figure the smallest, widest. lightest wheel you could find would be best.
Probably 15 would fill all of those qualities the best.
Since the oem tire on the crx is 175/70-13 and they don't have a ton of fender clearance a safe bet would be 15's on 195/50-15
I used to own a 88. You may be able to stuff a 205 something or other, but my past experience says I wouldn't risk it. Does NOT mean it's impossible though. A good place to get a max width answer would be running a search a www.honda-acura.net
