there IS a search feature on this page that would help you get info about those. They've been posted quite a few times on this board.

I believe that those springs are CRAP and not worth it. Somebody may correct me on that tho.

Ok, he made a mistake with his link, it brought up the tornado fuel saving thing.

I ran a search of the site and all that came up was the usual Eibach springs

The page opens for me but no product is displayed. Can you copy and past some info, maybe post a link to the picture of the product.

this is really weird... every time I click on the link I posted it takes me directly to the product description which is where it should be going... I don't know why the link doesn't seem to work for anyone else...

oh well... I'll see what I can do to fix this.

alright I figured out that they change their product id number quite often for some reason, that's why the link doesn't go where it is supposed to

    try this link... http://www.planetperformance.com/pro...Coil-Over+Kits

I am asking about the euro coil kit for $215, any experience or info on the quality of these would be appreciated

I got a couple of things going on concerning either of the coilovers shown in that ad.

    1. The first one, the one that doesn't talk about being dual rate, we have a member that is using them. In fact he bought my koni's off my wrecked 3g. He replaced some other brand of struts and he's happier with the koni's. If you want his imput on those coilover's send him a email, his username is yk86. He's in administration here. Don't bother with a pm, he's not able to be here much right now, send him a email. If you can't email him, well go ahead and try the pm system.

    2. The other euro coilover listed on that site, the one that talks about being dual rate.

"The Euro Coil Over Kit consists of two individual springs on each corner. One spring rate is optimized for boulevard cruising while the second is ideal for cornering at the limits."

I got a problem with the dual rate thing altogether, saying " one rate optimized for boulevard cruising with a second for cornering at the limit's. Sounds nice and all, but the problem is, in the picture they show, you can see the second set of springs all right. BUT THOSE AIN'T THAT TYPE OF DUAL RATE SPRINGS IN THAT PIC!
That pic shows what are known as helper springs or tender springs, they do absolutely NOTHING to be a dual rate spring. Their job is nothing more than to keep the main spring in place during aggressive cornering or when the suspension get's fully extended.

Sooooo, here's what you have to do, call toucan industries, the company that actually make's those reactive coilovers and ask them how stiff both springs are. If, they say they don't know either spring rate, your pretty much screwed. BUT,..........if they know the bigger springs rate AND the DON'T know the smaller softer springs rate, I guarantee it's exacty like I say, nothing more than a helper or tender spring that does nothing for ride quality. BTW, I highly doubt calling planetperformce will get you any info, other than Toucan's phone number if that.

No, I told him where to go and get info on the tornado, homemade-turbos.com or something, and now its gone.

Jim, if a post is deleted, are we (the posters) to be notified so as not to repeat the violation again?

Yeah we do get notified, but they don't delete the post really they just edit it out. I think thats how it goes. At least they did that to me when I posted a pic too big.

In this case the original poster made a error in his linking. I edited that error rendering your reply unnessasary. Being the moderator of this section I have free will to clean up threads that contain posts that are not relevent to the topic once I have made such changes. Editing out the false link was a favor on my part to help the creator of this thread. You of course made NO violation of policy so no notification is warranted. I honestly did not remember if or why I would have done something in this thread, so I brought up the most common reason for me to delete a post. And yes, I would of course pm a member that I'd deleted a post for a violation or I'd make mention in public to that effect. But again, you didn't do anything wrong.
