Wouldn't hyper black be very dark black?

hyperblack is just another name for super black or anthrasite. its a really cool finish. in the light when the sun reflects off it, it has a bright chrome look and when in shade or at night its a dark grey. every different wheel company calls it something different. the finish originated from BMW.

Anybody got any decent pictures of these hyper black wheels?

Are they anything like these Alessio wheels, I've seen them called "blacklead, "bright metal", "graphite", "black chrome" and whatnot. Indeed in bright daylight they reseble chrome a bit, but nowhere as bright and clear (which is good I think), and when it's darker I think they look very cool, dark shiny sort of if you know what I mean.

    More pics

Edit: Ok, found some pics, indeed these hyper black do look a lot more like chrome than those my rims.

It's not the type of car you drive... it's the size of the arm hanging out of the window.

I think another word for it is black chrome, that is if I am thinking of the same thing as you are. I think it looks great for wheels. It has the look of black but with the class of chrome. It is a finish I would love to have for wheels for my black 3g, but then again I have no real money to speak of whatsoever. Maybe I'll just paint the lx-i wheels some shade of black or grey.

Yeah, I'm with you there. 5+ years ago, before they had these "hyperblack", etc. names, it was called black-chrome. At least that's if I'm thinking of the right thing. Def. a sick finish for any wheel on any car.

not silver, a DARK silver, that carries a different shine and appearance in different lighting.
